Prof. Servet İbrahim Timur is a full-time Professor at Istanbul Technical University's Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, where he leads research in advanced materials synthesis and characterization. His laboratory focuses on electrochemical processing techniques for energy storage and functional materials.
His research interests span:
- Electrochemical synthesis of borides and rare-earth metals
- Computational materials design for semiconductor applications
- Supercapacitor technologies using nickel/vanadium borides
- Surface engineering through boriding and multilayer coatings
- Thermodynamic modeling of doped semiconductor systems
