Seria Yamazaki is an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) at Waseda University's School of Humanities and Social Sciences, specializing in Egyptology and Archaeology. Her research focuses on Egyptian Middle Kingdom, funeral rituals, coffin studies, and object frieze analysis.
Education:
- PhD in Letters, Arts and Sciences (2021), Waseda University
- MA in Letters, Arts and Sciences (2017), Waseda University
Research Projects: She leads studies on Egyptian funerary rituals funded by Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, including diachronic analysis of vessel offering rituals and ceremonial syntax theory. Her work spans the Old Kingdom to New Kingdom periods.
