Sergio Pagano

Sergio Pagano is a Full Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Salerno, Italy. His academic career spans multiple roles, including Head of the Salerno Unit of the CNR's SPIN Institute since 2010 and Senior Researcher at the National Research Council until 2001. He teaches courses across various degrees, including Physics, Environmental Sciences, and Mathematics, focusing on advanced topics like nonlinear physics, radiation interaction, and superconducting technologies.

Research interests include nonlinear dynamics in Josephson junctions, superconducting radiation detectors, quantum interference phenomena, and applications of superconducting sensors in oncology and material analysis. His work explores the intersection of theoretical and applied physics, with a focus on ultrafast superconducting circuits and noise effects in superconductors.

Pagano earned his PhD in Physics from the Technical University of Denmark (1987) and a Physics degree from the University of Salerno (1984). He is active in supervising research projects and leading collaborations in superconducting technologies.
