Sergio Padilla Urrea

Sergio Padilla Urrea serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Medicine at Miguel Hernández University of Elche, where he holds teaching and coordination responsibilities across multiple academic programs. His institutional affiliation spans the Bachelor's in Medicine (Plan 2024), Bachelor's in Podiatry, Master's in Clinical Medicine Research, and Master's in Infectious Diseases and International Health.

His research and instructional focus centers on Nephrology (designated UNESCO specialty) with significant expertise in Infectious Diseases, Internal Medicine, HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, Microbiology, and Antibiotic Policy. He actively develops curriculum for community-acquired infections, therapeutic procedures in immunocompromised patients, and international health cooperation projects, emphasizing evidence-based clinical practice and infection control protocols.

Professor Padilla Urrea coordinates critical courses including Internal Medicine Rotation II and Microbiology and Anti-infective Therapy, while supervising numerous Final Master's Projects across HIV/AIDS, Infectious Diseases, and International Health specializations. His academic leadership extends to research methodology instruction in HIV/AIDS Research, Infectious Disease Research, and Monitoring and Control of Infections.
