Sergey Alyatkin

Sergey Alyatkin is an Assistant Professor and Deputy Head of the Hybrid Photonics Laboratory at the Center for Photonic Science and Engineering, Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology. His research focuses on advanced spectroscopy of atoms, quantum dots, upconversion nanoparticles, and polariton condensates in optical lattices, with expertise in microscopy, laser systems, and interferometry.

• Education: School of Physics and Mathematics (Magnitogorsk, Russia, 1997–2007); Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) in Problems of Physics and Power Engineering (2007–2011), Master’s degree (2011–2013); Postgraduate studies in Optics (01.04.05) at MIPT (2013–2017).

His technical expertise includes laser systems adjustment (Toptica ECDL, Coherent MIRA 900, APE OPO), active stabilization (PID), spatial light modulation, and data analysis using Origin and Igor Pro 7.

• Scientific Awards: Y. I. Ostrovsky Prize (2024) for research on all-optical nuclear magnetic resonance analog with quantum fluids of light.
