Serge Basini

Dr Serge Basini is a Senior Lecturer in Behavioural Science at Technological University Dublin, College of Business, School of Management, People and Organisations. A registered qualified psychometrist with the British Psychological Society and EFPA, he has 30 years of teaching and research experience, supervises PhD and master’s students, and holds visiting professorships internationally.

Research Interests: Dr Basini’s scholarship centres on Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) applied to absenteeism, female entrepreneurship, feminist phenomenology, mentoring, leadership development, psychometric assessment, and emerging topics such as AR/VR in cancer care and entrepreneurial hardiness.

Publications Trend: His recent conference papers demonstrate a sustained focus on advancing IPA as a rigorous qualitative methodology, amplifying marginalised voices—especially women entrepreneurs and mentees—and integrating feminist phenomenological lenses into entrepreneurship and leadership studies.

Scientific & Professional Awards: While no named prizes are listed, he has secured competitive grants including the 2022 GROWThub Bursary on entrepreneurial hardiness, 2021 Irish Research Council Government of Ireland Scholarship for his student Trish Ganly, and 2020 TU Dublin Fiorsraigh scholarship for student Ediclera Olivera.
