Senthil Todadri

Roles & Affiliations: Senthil Todadri is the William and Emma Rogers Professor of Physics at MIT. He is affiliated with the Condensed Matter Theory Group, Materials Research Laboratory, and Research Laboratory of Electronics. His research focuses on quantum many-particle systems beyond conventional paradigms.

Education & Career: B.Tech. from IIT Kanpur (1992), PhD from Yale University (1997). Postdoctoral work at Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics (UCSB). Joined MIT faculty in 2001.

Research Interests: Non-Fermi liquids, moiré materials, quantum criticality, dualities in field theories, and topological insulators. Pioneered deconfined quantum criticality and fractionalized Fermi liquid concepts. Key contributions to moiré heterostructures and chiral topological superconductivity.

Awards & Honors: Member, National Academy of Sciences (2024); American Academy of Arts & Sciences (2023); Simons Investigator (2013–2023); APS Fellow (2013); Kavli Frontiers Fellow (2011).

Grants & Labs: Lead theorist in MIT’s Condensed Matter Theory Group. Active in NSF-funded research on quantum materials. Collaborates with experimental groups on moiré systems and topological phases.
