Senada Muratović

Senada Muratović is a Senior Scientific Associate at the Ruđer Bošković Institute, specifically within the Division of Physical Chemistry and Laboratory for Electron Spin Spectroscopy. Her research focuses on metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), magnetic properties, and mechanochemical synthesis.

Research Interests: Senada specializes in coordination chemistry, electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR/ESR), and structural characterization of transition metal complexes. Her work explores mechanochemical synthesis of MOFs, magneto-structural correlations, and solid-state magnetic behavior. She also investigates bioinorganic interactions (e.g., metal complex-BSA binding) and antiproliferative activity of metal complexes.

Recent Publications: Her recent work includes studies on solvent bonding in palladated compounds, low-dimensional magnetism in Cu/Zn MOF-74 materials, and mechanochemical control of MOF topology. She employs DFT calculations, X-ray diffraction, and EPR spectroscopy to analyze structural and magnetic properties.

Laboratory: She works in the Laboratory for Electron Spin Spectroscopy at the Ruđer Bošković Institute, where her team uses advanced techniques like solid-state NMR and high-field ESR to study MOFs and transition metal complexes.
