Prof. Semra Ağralı serves as Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at MEF University's Faculty of Engineering. She joined the institution in July 2016, held the Department Head position from 2016-2019, and currently acts as Vice President for Research since March 2023.
Her research concentrates on mathematical optimization applications, with core expertise in:
- Mathematical modeling
- Mixed-integer optimization
- Energy planning and management
- Scheduling in utility industries
- Cluster size determination problems
Prof. Ağralı received the prestigious Goodeve Medal from the OR Society in 2020 for significant contributions to operational research.
She has secured competitive research funding as principal investigator for two TÜBİTAK 1001 projects and one TÜBİTAK 2219 project, demonstrating sustained leadership in academic grant acquisition.
