Selim Bozkurt is a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at the School of Engineering, Ulster University. He has established expertise in biomedical engineering applications, particularly in implantable medical device development and cardiovascular biomechanics. His academic journey includes post-doctoral research at University College London’s Institute of Cardiovascular Science and Great Ormond Street Hospital, followed by his current teaching and research role at Ulster.

Recent publications highlight advancements in left ventricular assist device monitoring, cranial correction devices, and nanoplasmonic systems. His work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals for healthcare innovation and sustainable engineering practices.
