Dr. Sebastian Vogel is a Scientist and Working Group Leader for "Sensor-based soil mapping" at the Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy (ATB) in Potsdam, Germany. He leads research in precision agriculture and sensor technology within the Agromechatronics Department, focusing on developing innovative approaches for soil property assessment and agricultural management.
Dr. Vogel earned his Dr. rer. nat. from the University of Tübingen in 2011 and completed his Diplom in Geoecology at the University of Potsdam in 2005. His professional journey includes positions at multiple prestigious institutions including the University of Potsdam (2015-2018), German Archaeological Institute in Berlin (2014-2015 and 2007-2009), University of Tübingen (2011-2014), and Heidelberg Academy of Sciences (2009-2011).
