Sebastian Vetter-Lang

Sebastian Vetter-Lang is a researcher at the University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna, affiliated with the Department for Farm Animals and Veterinary Public Health. His work spans wildlife ecology, precision livestock farming, and biostatistical analysis, with a focus on animal health and welfare.

• Education: Diploma in Biology (2011) from the University of Freiburg (final grade: 1.1), PhD in Evolutionary Biology and Wildlife Ecology (2016) from the University of Vienna (final grade: 1.0).

Research Interests include evolutionary biology, wildlife ecology, and precision livestock farming. His recent project, "Investigation of dogs' urogenital microbiota and influence of antibiotics on the vaginal microbiome", funded internally by Vetmeduni (2023–2025), explores microbial dynamics in veterinary contexts.

Academic Roles have included postdoctoral research at FFoQSI (2020) and the Wolf Science Center (2009–2010), as well as technical and statistical roles in chemistry and interdisciplinary life sciences laboratories.
