Sebastian Rausch

Sebastian Rausch is a tenured Professor at the Freie Universität Berlin since 2018, leading the group “Adaptive immunity to parasite infections” since 2012. His work focuses on host immune responses to parasitic infections, particularly Giardia muris, intestinal nematodes, and co-infection effects. He investigates immune response heterogeneity influenced by age, microbiome, and genetics. Previously, he held a postdoctoral position at the Humboldt-University of Berlin (2008–2012) and completed his PhD in Molecular Parasitology there (2004–2008).
