Sebastian Mieruch-Schnülle

Dr. Sebastian Mieruch-Schnülle is a Research Scientist in Marine Geology at the Alfred Wegener Institute (AWI). His key roles include leading projects such as the MOSAiC Virtual Research Environment (M-VRE) and developing tools like webODV for environmental data analysis. His research focuses on climate dynamics, oceanography, and applying machine learning to geoscientific data.

He has contributed to interdisciplinary studies including the MOSAiC Arctic drift expedition and Antarctic sea-ice dynamics. His work spans Arctic Ocean physical properties, Southern Ocean overturning circulation, and trace metal geochemistry through GEOTRACES initiatives.
