Sebastian Lopez Serrano served as a Researcher (2022-2023) within the Department of Didactics of Music, Plastic and Body Expression, specializing in Body Expression Didactics under the research group Physical Activity Applied to Education and Health.
He earned his Doctorate from the University of Jaén in 2019 with the thesis Influence of parental support and effects of the use of active video games on the practice of physical activity, psychological and academic variables in children and adolescents, supervised by Dr. Emilio J. Martínez López and Dr. Manuel Jesús de la Torre Cruz.
His research integrates Physical Education, Health Education, and Exercise Science with a focus on child/adolescent development. Key investigations examine parental influence and digital gaming interventions for promoting physical activity and academic performance in educational settings.
