Sebastian Kahlert has been working at ETH Sustainability since September 2023, leading the ETH Net Zero Programme and coordinating transformative projects. His responsibilities include emissions reporting and advancing the Green Labs Initiative, while representing ETH Sustainability in international networks such as IDEA League, ISCN, and UN SDSN.
He earned a PhD in Circular Economy from ETH Zurich and holds a dual degree in Management and Technology from the Technical University of Munich and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, with a focus on renewable energy, e-mobility, and supply chain management. Prior to joining ETH, he worked at McKinsey & Company as a sustainability and digitalization consultant, where he founded and led the German Green Teams. He is also a co-founder of Circularity and actively involved in Foodsharing.
