Sebastian Bauer

Professor Sebastian Bauer is a Faculty of the University Hospital Essen, leading the Translational Sarcoma Research Group at the West German Cancer Center (WTZ-F). His research focuses on oncogenetic signaling pathways in soft-tissue sarcomas (GIST), evaluation of targeted small molecule kinase inhibitors, development of GIST and sarcoma cell line models, and advanced preclinical diagnostic techniques. He collaborates with institutions like the West German Biobank Essen, Departments of Visceral and Tumororthopedic Surgery, and the Institute of Pathology to establish patient-derived models.
