Sebastià Rubí Sureda

Dr. Sebastià Rubí Sureda is an Associate Professor at the Department of Medicine, University of the Balearic Islands, and an Associate Physician Specialist in Nuclear Medicine at Son Espases University Hospital. He holds a PhD in Medicine (University of Barcelona, 2014) and is accredited as a Contracted Professor with a PhD by AQUIB (2019).

Research Interests: His work focuses on Nuclear Medicine applications in Neurology, particularly PET imaging for neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and gliomas. He leads studies on neuroimaging biomarkers (e.g., 18F-Choline PET kinetic modeling) and serum biomarkers in dementia.

Teaching: He teaches Diagnostic Imaging in the Medical Degree program at the University of the Balearic Islands (2020–2025) and supervises doctoral theses in Translational Research in Public Health.
