Sean Schowalter

Dr. Sean Schowalter is an Assistant Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, specializing in sports medicine and musculoskeletal conditions. He serves as ultrasound director for the medical school, PM&R residency, and Sports fellowships. His clinical focus includes nonoperative treatments for ligament/tendon injuries, joint pain, and regenerative therapies like PRP and shockwave therapy.

Education: MD from Boston University (with honors), residency at Harvard/Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital (awarded Resident Teacher of the Year), and fellowship in Sports Medicine/Interventional Spine at Mount Sinai Hospital.
