Sean O'Connell is a Lecturer in the Conservatory of Music at Chapman University's College of Performing Arts. He earned a B.A. in Ethnomusicology from UCLA, studying jazz with Kenny Burrell, Billy Higgins, and Barbara Morrison, followed by an M.A. in Musicology at CSULB focused on Duke Ellington's West Coast period.
