Sean DeMartino is an Assistant Professor of Psychology and Director of the Counseling Psychology PsyD Program at Springfield College. He holds a PsyD from Springfield College (2017), an MS in Mental Health Counseling from the University at Albany (2012), and a BA in Psychology and History from the same institution (2011). His clinical work focuses on trauma-informed therapy and psychological evaluations in underserved communities, with expertise in developmental trauma, suicide prevention, and gender role dynamics.

Research interests include trauma prevention, supervision of clinical practices, and addressing systemic disparities in mental healthcare. He co-directs the Trauma and Prevention (TAP) Research Lab and has presented nationally on trauma-related topics. Certified as a Licensed Psychologist, he is affiliated with the American Psychological Association’s Divisions 17 and 56, and the Massachusetts Psychological Association.
