Sean Carroll

Sean Carroll is the Homewood Professor of Natural Philosophy at Johns Hopkins University and Fractal Faculty at the Santa Fe Institute. He earned his PhD in 1993 from Harvard University, with recent research focusing on the foundations of quantum mechanics, the arrow of time, and complexity. His public engagement includes popular science books, media appearances, and hosting the Mindscape podcast.

Carroll has authored influential books such as From Eternity to Here, The Particle at the End of the Universe, and The Big Picture. His work bridges advanced physics concepts with accessible explanations, as seen in his textbook Spacetime and Geometry: An Introduction to General Relativity.
