معرفی
Sean Barrett is a Professor of Physics and Applied Physics at Yale University's Physics Department. His research focuses on experimental condensed matter physics, utilizing Optically Pumped NMR (OPNMR) to study quantum materials such as electron-doped GaAs quantum wells under high magnetic fields. His lab develops advanced NMR/MRI probe designs and sparse-sampling algorithms for data reconstruction.
Education:
- Ph.D., University of Illinois, 1992
Research Collaborations:
Barrett collaborates with Yale's Chemistry Department, Engineering School, Magnetic Resonance Research Imaging Center, and the Weizmann Institute of Science. His work spans NMR/MRI imaging of solids, spectral reconstruction algorithms, and custom probe engineering.
Student Achievements:
- Robert Blum: NSF Graduate Research Fellowship (2014)
- Jared Rovny: Yale Prize Teaching Fellowship (2014)
Labs & Teams:
The Barrett Lab at Yale integrates theoretical and experimental approaches, emphasizing interdisciplinary innovation in solid-state physics and advanced spectroscopic techniques.
