Dr. Roesch’s research emphasizes statistical rigor in addressing public health challenges, such as colorectal cancer screening, diabetes management, and mental health interventions for marginalized populations. His work integrates quantitative methods with applied health outcomes, often leveraging large-scale datasets (e.g., Hispanic Community Health Study/Study of Latinos). Notable contributions include studies on family resilience in military families, pain management in systemic sclerosis patients, and culturally tailored interventions for Latino communities.
His publications span topics like measurement equivalence in health scales, meta-analyses of behavioral interventions, and ecological studies on neighborhood impacts on health. He actively collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, emphasizing translational research to improve healthcare equity and evidence-based practice adoption in clinical settings.
Dr. Roesch’s grants and advisory roles include leadership in the ACCSIS colorectal cancer screening initiative and the LUNA-D diabetes intervention trial. He co-leads research labs focused on statistical methodology and health disparities, mentoring students in quantitative research techniques. His work bridges methodological innovation with real-world health challenges, particularly in underserved communities.
