Professor Scott Power is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) and Monash University's School of Earth, Atmosphere and Environment. He serves as Director of UniSQ's Centre for Applied Climate Sciences and advises on climate science for the Australia Pacific Climate Partnership. His roles include former leadership in climate research at Australia's Bureau of Meteorology and contributions to the IPCC reports.

Research focuses on climate change science, climatology, and adverse weather events. He specializes in assessing climate risks for vulnerable regions in the Pacific and Australia, with a record of transformative research recognized by prestigious awards.
- Key Projects: Led climate adaptation programs in 14 Pacific nations, enhanced early warning systems in Solomon Islands, and coordinated Australia’s National Climate Centre.
Recipient of the Zillman Medal (2021) and Pacific Meteorological Council’s Innovation Award (2019). Former Honorary Professor at the University of Queensland’s Global Change Institute (2016–2019).
