Scott Pearson is an Associate Professor of Finance and Director of the MBA Program at Palm Beach Atlantic University's Marshall E. Rinker, Sr. School of Business, where he joined in 2018. He also serves as advisor to the Sailfish Fund, PBA's student managed investment portfolio.
Dr. Pearson's academic credentials include:

- MA in Economics, Ohio State University
- MBA in Business Administration, University of South Florida
- BA in Human Relations, Samford University
His research focuses on microfinance and investment markets in developing countries, particularly examining the impact of reputation and relations on borrower repayment behavior. He also investigates ethics in financial markets, bringing his extensive industry experience to academic inquiry. Dr. Pearson previously worked in investments for many years before pursuing academia, which informs his practical teaching approach.

Dr. Pearson has significant academic leadership experience, having previously served as Director of the MBA Program and Department Chair at Charleston Southern University, where he developed new emphases in Entrepreneurship and Human Resource Management. He maintains industry engagement as President and Chief Investment Officer of Value View Financial Corp., which he founded in Orlando in 1999.
He is an active member of the American Finance Association, the Association of Private Enterprise Education, the Association of Christian Economists and the Christian Business Faculty Association.
