Scott Macdonald

Scott Macdonald is an Associate Teaching Professor in Physics and Astronomy at USC. His research applies holographic methods to condensed matter systems, particularly under magnetic fields. He investigates entanglement entropy and thermodynamic properties using AdS/CFT duality frameworks.

Macdonald's publications explore gravitational analogs for quantum phenomena, including electron stars and black hole thermodynamics. His teaching focuses on making advanced theoretical concepts accessible to students.
