Scott Krummenacher

Scott Krummenacher is a Senior Lecturer in Environmental Studies at Washington University in St. Louis, affiliated with the College of Arts & Sciences. His work focuses on environmental equity, urban sustainability, and the intersection of environmental policy with public health.

Research interests include environmental racism, segregation impacts on health, green space governance, and community-engaged initiatives. Current projects involve municipal solid waste analysis with the Dutchtown South Community Corporation and park quality studies in St. Louis, both supported by undergraduate research.

Teaching specialties encompass environmental justice, sustainable cities, and metropolitan environments. Collaborations include the St. Louis Policy Initiative and the Sustainability Exchange. He also engages in anti-racism training through programs like the National Conference for Community & Justice.
