معرفی
Scott Edmands is a Lecturer in the Department of Biochemistry and Chemistry at Smith College since 2009. His teaching integrates research techniques with contextual understanding in biochemistry labs.
- Education
- Ph.D., University of Massachusetts, Amherst
- Postdoctoral Fellowship, Smith College
- M.Sc., Smith College
- B.A., Whitman College
His research interests span cancer research, molecular and cellular biology, protein purification, and computational/wet lab approaches to characterizing protein function. He focuses on the thermodynamics of protein folding and the impact of environmental factors on this process.
Edmands has developed course-based research curricula targeting problems in protein purification and folding dynamics, combining computational and experimental methods to explore proteins with unknown functions.
