Scott Cook is the Tan Chin Tuan Professor of Chinese Studies at Yale-NUS College, specializing in pre-imperial manuscript studies and early Chinese intellectual history with a focus on musical thought. He has authored several books including The Bamboo Texts of Guodian and over eighty articles in English and Chinese. Cook was previously affiliated with the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science as part of the 'Transience: Politics and Practices of Time in the Chinese Period of Division' Working Group.
