Dr. Scott Colborne is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife at Michigan State University's College of Agriculture & Natural Resources. He holds a PhD in Biology from The University of Western Ontario (2013), a M.Sc. in Integrative Biology from University of Guelph (2008), and a B.Sc. in Zoology from University of Guelph (2006).
His research integrates quantitative approaches with acoustic telemetry through the Great Lakes Acoustic Telemetry Observation System (GLATOS), focusing on species such as Lake Erie walleye and grass carp. Research interests span fisheries ecology, movement patterns, conservation biology, and human impacts on aquatic ecosystems.
Dr. Colborne's publications demonstrate consistent focus on fish ecology, acoustic telemetry applications, and conservation management. Recent work emphasizes sturgeon migration, survival estimation techniques, and predator-prey dynamics using innovative tagging technologies.
