Scott Adams

Scott Adams is a Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. His research focuses on Health Economics, Labor Economics, and Public Policy, with particular attention to behavioral aspects of smoking, drinking, and traffic safety. He earned his PhD from Michigan State University and a BS from the University of Scranton.

His work explores the intersection of public policy and individual behavior, including studies on e-cigarette taxation, smoking bans, distracted driving regulations, and employer-provided health insurance. Recent publications analyze smoking behaviors during pregnancy, teen alcohol-related traffic fatalities, and legislative impacts on driver safety.
