Scott A. Strobel serves as Yale University's Provost and holds the Henry Ford II Professorship in Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry. As chief academic and budgetary officer, he oversees strategic initiatives, curriculum development, and resource allocation. His administrative roles include leading Yale's West Campus transformation and establishing the Poorvu Center for Teaching and Learning.

Research focuses on RNA functional chemistry, cellular fluoride detoxification, and rainforest microbial diversity through HHMI-funded expeditions to Ecuador and the Galápagos. He actively mentors undergraduates through fieldwork and teaching.
