Scott A McElfresh is a Lecturer at the School of Engineering and Computing at Christopher Newport University. He holds a Ph.D. and MS in Computer Science from Dartmouth College, and dual BS degrees in Applied Mathematics (Computer Science) and Mathematics & Cognitive Science from Carnegie Mellon University.

Dr. McElfresh has previously held teaching positions at Carnegie Mellon, Wake Forest, St. Lawrence, and Longwood Universities. He has extensive experience mentoring students in technical consulting for non-profits, including co-leading Carnegie Mellon’s Technology Consulting in the Community program for five years.
