Scot M. Guenter is a Professor of American Studies and Coordinator of the American Studies Program at San José State University. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland (1986) and has held roles such as Senior Fulbright Fellow at the National University of Singapore (1998). His expertise spans vexillology, cultural history, and American studies, with a focus on flags, nationalism, and semiotic analysis.
