Dr. Schäffer Anett serves as an Assistant Professor at the Department of English Language and Literature within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Miskolc, where she maintains her office in building A/6, room 1.
She earned her English Studies BA, followed by a Master's degree in Teacher of English language and culture and teacher of Hungarian language and literature, and completed her PhD in Literature through the Doctoral School of Literary Studies, all at the University of Miskolc.
Dr. Schäffer's research focuses on Contemporary British and Hungarian prose, with particular expertise in postmodern British literature, urban representations in literary works, multicultural British literature and film, and specialized studies on authors Angela Carter and Zadie Smith. Her academic interests reflect a strong engagement with contemporary literary trends and cultural studies.
She maintains regular office hours on Mondays from 9:00-10:00 and Fridays from 10:00-11:00 and 14:00-15:00 (by appointment only), providing guidance to students pursuing thesis work in her areas of expertise.
Dr. Schäffer supervises thesis research on seven specific topics: Contemporary Anglophone Prose, Postmodern British Prose, Modern British Prose, City and Urban Space in Literature, Multicultural British Literature and Film, Angela Carter studies, and Zadie Smith studies, demonstrating her specialized knowledge in contemporary literary fields.
