Dr. Schola Matovu is an Assistant Professor at the University of Utah College of Nursing, dedicated to gerontological nursing research, education, and advocacy. Her work focuses on social justice, health equity, and the psychosocial well-being of marginalized grandparent-caregivers in Uganda and Utah.

Her recent work focuses on the GRACE model (GRAndparent-CarEgiving) and sustainable livelihood interventions, reflecting interdisciplinary trends in nursing, psychology, and social work. She has secured NIH and foundation funding for her studies.
