Schahram Dustdar

Schahram Dustdar serves as Full Professor of Computer Science and heads the Distributed Systems Group at Vienna University of Technology (TU Vienna). He holds significant academic distinctions including membership in the Academia Europaea (since 2013) and status as an IEEE Senior Member (2009).

His research spans three core domains:

• Adaptive and Self-Organizing Systems
• Distributed and Parallel Computing
• Software Engineering

His work focuses on practical implementations of distributed architectures with emphasis on efficiency, scalability, and real-world application in domains like Smart Cities and cloud infrastructure.
