Sausan Abouharb

Dr. Sausan Abouharb is an Associate Professor in the Department of Breast Medical Oncology and the Department of General Oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She also holds an Associate Member position at the Department of IM-Hematology/Oncology at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. Her clinical expertise focuses on breast cancer treatment, and she sees patients at the Texas Medical Center campus and the League City location.

Dr. Abouharb earned her medical degree from the University of Damascus in Syria. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Indiana University and her fellowship in medical oncology and hematology at MD Anderson Cancer Center. During her fellowship, she developed a special interest in breast medical oncology and was awarded the Humanitas Award. She has been part of MD Anderson’s faculty since completing her training.

Her research and clinical practice emphasize breast cancer treatment, contributing to clinical trials and advancing patient care in oncology and hematology.
