Satnam Singh

Satnam Singh is a Visiting Professor at the University of Cambridge's Department of Computer Science and Technology, hosted by Prof. Andrew Moore. He is a Fellow at Groq, focusing on functional programming applications for machine learning chip design and programming models. Previously, he held roles at Google, Facebook, Microsoft, and Xilinx, with academic experience at the University of Glasgow.

His research interests span functional programming (Haskell), hardware design DSLs (Lava, Bluespec), formal methods (SAT-solvers, theorem provers), FPGA acceleration, and concurrent/parallel programming. He actively contributes to professional organizations, including ACM SIGPLAN (former member), and holds honorary/part-time roles at institutions like the University of Birmingham and Imperial College London.

He is a Senior Member of ACM/IEEE, IET Fellow, and IFIP WG member. His work emphasizes formally verified hardware/software co-design and high-level hardware programming models.
