Dr. Saskia Wolff is a Lecturer in GIS and Regional Geography at the Humboldt University of Berlin's Geographical Institute (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences). She holds a PhD and has been affiliated with the university since 2012, progressing from a Bachelor's in Geography (2008–2012) to a Master's in Human-Environment Systems (2012–2015). Before her current role, she was a Research Associate at the University of Bonn (2021–2023) and Humboldt University's Applied Geoinformation Processing group (2016–2021).
Her research focuses on GIS applications, agricultural landscapes, and urban-rural dynamics. Key projects include analyzing EU land use data, eco-efficiency in agriculture, and peri-urban development in Tanzania. She collaborates widely, evidenced by interdisciplinary publications in journals like Ecological Indicators and Agricultural Systems.
Teaching responsibilities include GIS and regional geography courses. Professional activities involve roles in academic committees and partnerships with institutions like the University of Bonn and the German Agricultural Economics Society.
