Sasha Loyal is a Lecturer in Health and Wellbeing in Society at De Montfort University's School of Applied Social Sciences. Her research focuses on reproductive decision-making, health psychology, and intersectionality within British South Asian communities.

Her research explores social egg freezing, surrogacy, and infertility through qualitative methodologies, with current involvement in the ESRC-funded EDNA project and NIHR-funded Pre-Amp study. She has published extensively on reproductive timing, counseling experiences, and pandemic-related fertility shifts.
Scientific awards include the 4th prize at DMU's Annual Poster Competition (2017) and the High Flyers PhD Scholarship (2016-2019). Her work engages with interdisciplinary stakeholders to address health equity and reproductive autonomy.
