Sascha Roesler

Sascha Roesler is an Associate Professor at the Academy of Architecture in Mendrisio (Università della Svizzera Italiana), specializing in the theory of urbanization and urban environments. He holds roles at the Institute of History and Theory of Art and Architecture (ISA) and the Institute of Urban and Landscape Studies (ISUP). His research focuses on urban climates, sustainability, and the intersection of architecture with ethnography and environmental science.

Education and Academic Background: Roesler earned his PhD and has held positions including Swiss National Science Foundation Professor (2015–2021) and senior researcher at the Future Cities Laboratory (2013–2015). He has taught at ETH Zurich and TU Berlin.
