Sarita Woolhouse is a Senior Lecturer at the Leeds Law School, Leeds Beckett University. Prior to this role, she practiced as a barrister and solicitor with expertise in cross-border disputes across energy, construction, shipping, and telecommunications. She previously held a Senior Lecturer position at Anglia Ruskin University, overseeing Property Law modules in the LPC program.
Dr. Woolhouse earned her doctorate in 2017 from Leeds Beckett University, focusing on corporate governance and international investment laws, particularly tax havens and their role in global economies. She coined the term “seats of corporate convenience” to describe tax havens’ integration into mainstream economies.
Her teaching includes Competition Law, Digital Economy, Construction Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and Commercial Law. Research interests center on arbitration, investment treaty law, and commercial disputes. She actively supervises PhD candidates in related areas.
Dr. Woolhouse is a co-author of books on arbitration and Indian construction law. Her work bridges practical legal experience with academic rigor in international legal frameworks.
