Hikmet Sari is a Visiting Professor at Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications (NJUPT), China, and founder of SARITECH Consulting in France. Previously, he served as Professor and Head of the Telecommunications Department at SUPELEC (2003–2016). His expertise spans roles as Chief Scientist at Sequans Communications, Pacific Broadband Communications/Juniper Networks, and Alcatel. He holds a Ph.D. (1980) and Habilitation degree (1992) from French institutions.
Research focuses on wireless systems, including Multicarrier Transmission, MIMO, NOMA, and TeraHertz Communications. Notable contributions include redefining fairness in NOMA systems, recognized by the 2021 Heinrich Hertz Award.
- Education: Engineer (M.S.) from ENST Paris (1978), Ph.D. and Habilitation from Université Paris-Sud (1992).
- Leadership: Organized major IEEE conferences (ICC, WCNC, PIMRC) globally, including General Chair roles in Paris, Istanbul, and Milan.
Awards: IEEE Fellow (1995), André Blondel Medal (1995), and Turkish Science Academy Membership (2012).
