Sarbin Ranjitkar

Dr. Sarbin Ranjitkar is a Senior Lecturer at the Adelaide Dental School within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at the University of Adelaide. He holds qualifications including a BDS, BScDent (Hons), and PhD. His research focuses on geriatric oral health, craniofacial biology, restorative bioceramic materials, dental phenomics, and oral microbiomics/metabolomics. Key interests include studying tooth wear mechanisms, craniofacial anomalies using imaging technologies, and developing preventive strategies for dental erosion.

Research highlights include work on second-generation antipsychotic effects on oral health, craniofacial microsomia using CT scans, and the efficacy of novel remineralizing materials. He is actively involved in supervising Masters and PhD students. His interdisciplinary approach integrates clinical dentistry with advanced imaging and biomaterials science, contributing to both academic and applied dental research.
