Dr. Sarah Taylor is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Social Work at California State University, East Bay (CSUEB). She holds a PhD in Social Welfare and MSW from UC Berkeley. Her work emphasizes disability justice, social work pedagogy, and community engagement. As Chair since 2019, she prioritizes collaboration, transparency, and work-life balance within the department.
Dr. Taylor’s research focuses on disability justice, supported decision-making, and inclusive education. She co-founded the Center for Disability Justice Research (CDJR) at CSUEB, leading projects such as the Supported Decision-Making Outreach Team and the Think by the Bay program.
