Dr. Sarah S. Mire is an Associate Professor of School Psychology at Baylor University and a faculty affiliate with the Baylor Center for Developmental Disabilities. She founded and leads the *sparc (School Psychology Autism Research Collaboration) research team, focused on improving outcomes for children with autism by enhancing the capacities of caregivers, school personnel, and medical providers.
Her applied research examines how adult cognitions and affective responses to autism influence assessment- and intervention-related behaviors. *sparc also investigates bidirectional relationships between adult cognition, affect, and professional practices, with a special emphasis on cultural factors in these processes.
