Sarah Rogers is an Instructor in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of South Carolina, within the McCausland College of Arts and Sciences. Her work centers on queer and feminist criminologies, with a strong emphasis on transgender experiences and sexual victimization in higher education settings.

Research Interests: Sarah's research is deeply rooted in queer and feminist criminology, with a focus on trans studies, intersectionality, and the blurred boundaries between victimization and offending. She examines how sexual assault on college campuses disproportionately affects LGBTQ+ students, particularly transgender and non-binary individuals. Her work also explores the pathways to incarceration for trans men and the systemic challenges they face within the criminal justice system.
Her publications span a range of topics including fear of victimization among LGBTQ+ college students, self-harm and strain among gender minorities, and the unique challenges faced by queer scholars in criminological research. Her work is methodologically diverse, often employing qualitative approaches to center marginalized voices.
