Sarah Richards

Sarah Richards, MD is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) and Senior Medical Director for Clinician Experience at Nebraska Medicine. A practicing hospitalist in the Division of Hospital Medicine, she has held faculty roles since 2011.

Research & Leadership Focus: Dr. Richards specializes in clinician burnout prevention and wellbeing, informed by her personal experience during residency. She has led clinician wellbeing efforts for Nebraska Medicine since 2017 and completed a Chief Wellness Officer leadership course at Stanford in 2021.
